With So Much To See In Turkey…. Plan Plan Plan!!!

It is important to have a good travel plan when organizing a trip to Turkey due to variety of vacation options available and Turkey’s vast geographical area. While you’re planning your trip you can use some of the ideas we would like to suggest to you. During your visit, if you want a balanced travel plan including a visit to Istanbul and to the coastal regions for swimming, we advise you to take a flight to Istanbul first. After visiting the historical sites in Istanbul, you can board a flight to or drive to your planned destination located in the Aegean or Mediterranean regions. If you’re going to spend your holiday in Bodrum or Marmaris, you can travel to international airports Milas or Dalaman located in Muğla, if your holiday resort is near Izmir, you can travel to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, or if your resort is located in Antalya, you can travel to Antalya airport. Moreover, at the end of your vacation, without returning back to Istanbul, you can directly depart often to your home country from these airports.

You can board a direct flight to any of the airports in Izmir, Muğla or Antalya if you want to have a complete beach holiday. Çeşme, a famous resort area near Izmir, is only an hour and a half away by car or by bus from Adnan Menderes Airport. On the other hand, Bodrum and Marmaris shores and bays are an hour car or bus ride away from Milas and Dalaman Airports. When you land at your destination airport, you can quickly go to your resort located in the central area of Bodrum or Marmaris, and furthermore within the same day you can go down to the beach for a swim. In Antalya, you can also reach your resort with a one or two hour car or bus ride from the airport. At the end of your visit you can leave Turkey from the same airport you arrived at, this way you can have the chance of maximizing the amount of time for the beach and sun.

For Middle, East or Southeast Anatolia regional tours you might want to prefer international airports in Ankara, Malatya, Erzurum and Van. One cautionary note airports other than Ankara, may not offer many flights, so we advise you to buy your tickets well before your trip. However, if you wish you can book flights with Istanbul or Ankara layovers. Intercity public transportation in Turkey’s hinterland are mainly provided by private bus companies. Furthermore, there are limited resources regarding rail transportation. If you are planning to go to more than one destination, especially the historical sites in rural areas on your holiday, it will be in your best interest to work with a travel agency or a car rental company. At the end of your vacation you can leave the country through the same airport you arrived at.

For a distinctive travel plan a blue voyage is suggested. “Blue Voyage” tours that board from Istanbul or cities in Aegean and Mediterranean regions, are amongst the favorites of both local and international tourists. A one week tour will allow you to have a unique beach holiday and at the same time you can also enjoy an entertaining sea cruise. Some tours that board from the Aegean regions, organize day trips to the Greek Islands and that makes the whole tour a lot more lavish. If you have a bigger budget, or if you’re traveling in large groups, you can also rent your own yacht and travel the Aegean bays.
